For one of our clients, a company offering a range of products and solutions in the fields of smart energy, energy efficiency, and renewable energy, I am looking for a candidate for the position of Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients, focusing on B2B sales and account management.

  • Research market trends, analyze competitors, and identify new business opportunities to drive company growth.

  • Prepare tailored proposals and participate in public tenders with international clients.

  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives and client needs.

  • Manage international client projects, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.

  • Utilize technical expertise in smart meters, IoT, and wireless communication technologies to address client requirements.

  • Leverage CRM systems and analytics tools to track sales performance and monitor key metrics.

Job requirements

  • Previous experience in Business Development in smart metering industry - THIS IS A MUST.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or client relationship management, preferably in the energy, technology, or utilities sectors.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of technologies related to smart meters and infrastructure (smart meters, IoT, wireless communication).

  • Experience in B2B sales, negotiations, and building long-term relationships with corporate clients.

  • Experience managing projects with international clients, including public tenders.

  • Ability to create and implement business development strategies, including identifying new market opportunities.

  • Proficiency in market and competition analysis, including preparing offers and tailoring products/services to client needs.

  • Strong data skills – familiarity with tools such as CRM, sales analytics, and reporting.

  • Fluent in English plus a either German or French.
