Currently for our client, a leader in digital engineering, we are looking for someone to fulfil
VMware Engineer position.


What you will do


- Ensuring monitoring and alerting of all components our managed VMware platform by using Veeam one Alerts
- Monitor and maintain database storage, and database health, performance, sustainability, and security.
- Regular review and tuning of operational dashboards to provide observation in non-alerting areas to see if alerting needs to be added
- Adjusting monitor and alert thresholds and severities of our managed VMware platform
- Reviewing customer discovered incidents to consider additional adjustments
- Reviewing alerts that resulted in incidents to ensure all were actionable
- Driving monitoring and alerting strategy for all new features that are developed (governance)
- Reviews and Analyses past incidents to see if changes are needed to configuration parameters for the alerts.

Job requirements

- 3+ years of experience with designing, implementing, and operating Backup solutions for cloud platforms (i.e. Veeam, Spectrum Protect, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience with designing, implementing, and operating cloud platforms with VMware technologies (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, Cloud Director, etc.)
- Good communication skills in English


Nice to have 



Experience with Microsoft SQL server administration or development, Postgres Database administration or development, Veeam and Veeam One Monitoring and Analytics as well as Python and REST API programming, Kubernetes, Veeam Cloud Connect, Windows monitoring, RHEL monitoring, GitHub issue and code management, system automation, scripting, and development, integrating vRealize Operations Manager notifications with Slack, ServiceNow and /or PagerDuty.
